THE (2nd Annual) FUR BALL Rolls Back into Middle Tennessee
to Benefit On The Fifth Day (Animal Sanctuary)
|
|
The (2nd Annual) Fur Ball waltzes back into Stones River Country Club in Murfreesboro, TN, on Friday, October 17, 2008 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. The black-tie fundraiser will benefit On The Fifth Day (Animal Sanctuary) which continues on its path to raise $100,000 to purchase sanctuary land, the first dog run and administrative building. The itinerary will include a three-course Vegetarian dinner, cocktails and dancing, and a silent auction. And making a return appearance with their dynamic and entertaining show is crowd (and animal) favorite,
Radio Daze Big Band.
The director and board members continue to train with Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, UT, and plead with the community to step up for the animals. Hilsher includes, "Financially, we still reach for our first goal of $100,000 to get to the sanctuary which will be located in a rural part of Middle Tennessee. Due to our country's economic fall-out, the animals have been adversely affected ten-fold and we're not going to sit on our hands because of monetary limitations. Daily, we guide and educate people who contact us for help in order to build the foundation that must be laid when we are at the actual sanctuary. We'll get there. Having said that, we're facing an epidemic of homeless animals and we encourage those who want to help
to give a dollar or two and to give it today."
On The Fifth Day's mission is to: Protect, nurture, love, spay/neuter, and find homes for abused and/or homeless animals.
Tickets are $125.00 each or $100.00 if you become a sanctuary member for $25/yr. and can be purchased now via PayPal or by sending a check to:

PLEASE DO WHAT YOU CAN TO ENSURE THE OTFD FACILITY IS BUILT THIS SPRING! |
After years of not knowing why my love and concern for animals ran so deeply, I was inspired in 2003 to open On The Fifth Day. As a community, as a society, as caregivers to species who cannot yell out, "Please help me," we can no longer ignore the egregious state of animal overpopulation and abuse in Middle Tennessee.
"GOING GREEN" means more than saving the environment, the ozone, and recycling. We must save the animals as well.
We will build a sanctuary where they can be mended physically and emotionally, where their quality of life can soar, and where they have the chance to find a permanent home with someone who knows how to love an animal. All of God's creatures deserve this.
Most importantly - all of them, will be loved and protected. Just as they were when they were created…
On The Fifth Day.
